Operational point of view
We write from the case workflow: first call, arrangements, documents, signatures, payments, accounting, preneed, staff handoffs, and the records a firm must be able to retrieve.
Our editorial work starts with the real decisions funeral-home owners and directors make. These standards explain who writes it, how claims are checked, where automation helps, and how we correct the record.

The FuneralHQ Editorial Team is the in-house team that builds, operates, and explains FuneralHQ. We use a collective byline because the work combines product, engineering, customer workflow, and editorial review rather than attributing it to a fictional persona.
We write from the case workflow: first call, arrangements, documents, signatures, payments, accounting, preneed, staff handoffs, and the records a firm must be able to retrieve.
FuneralHQ claims are checked against the product and the centrally maintained plan facts. Capabilities in early access or development are labeled on the page and are not described as generally available.
Regulatory, market, and competitor claims use primary sources whenever possible: government guidance, industry associations, standards bodies, and each vendor’s current public materials.
The amount of research follows the claim. A workflow guide can stand on practical instruction; a regulatory statement, statistic, or vendor comparison needs evidence a reader can inspect.
Each article names who it is for and the task it should help that reader complete. We avoid creating pages only to capture another variation of a search query.
The draft explains the steps, tradeoffs, evidence to request, and failure points that matter in an actual funeral-home workflow.
Outside factual claims are checked against current primary sources. Competitor comparisons use public information, carry a review date, and tell readers to confirm changing details with the vendor.
The reviewer separates what FuneralHQ ships today from early access, integration work, and development. A demo can explore a missing workflow, but the article cannot present that work as already live.
We check headings, links, sources, image descriptions, structured data, mobile reading, and the path to a relevant next step before publication.
Software and generative tools may help organize research, draft or edit copy, check code and links, or create original illustrations. A FuneralHQ team member remains responsible for checking the claims and approving the published page.
We change an article’s modified date when its guidance, evidence, product status, or comparison has materially changed. We do not change dates merely to make old content appear fresh.
If a source changed, a workflow is unclear, or a product statement is wrong, email the team. We review the evidence, correct verified errors, and update the modified date when the change is substantive.
